Circus Oz, one of the world's very first full-scale contemporary circuses, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to lead the Marketing and Communications team in Port Melbourne.
The role oversees single ticket campaigns, advertising, direct mail, emarketing, audience development initiatives, sales promotions, budgets, media and other sponsorships, publicity, promotion of circus workshops, researching philanthropic/fundraising opportunities, and developing merchandise.
The Marketing and Communications Director supervises two full-time staff members, external advertising and publicity agencies and other consultants. Individual reports directly to the General Manager and Artistic Director, when appropriate, and works closely with other senior staff on long-range planning and company-wide initiatives.
Required qualifications include a proven track record in marketing and communications in a supervisory capacity preferably at a cultural organisation; staff and budget management expertise; excellent writing, communication and organisational skills.
This is a full-time, twelve-month contract with a view to becoming a permanent position.
