2010 Theme: SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT!

In 2009, we launched our inaugural photography competition, Big Top Snapshot! by inviting photographers to take a creative snap of our infamous Big Top in Melbourne. We received beautiful photos of our Big Top taken from the tops of buildings, at dawn and dusk and at night, from close up and in extreme wide angle. The competition culminated in an exhibition of finalists' photographs at Michaels Gallery.

Big Top Snapshot is returning in 2010 with a new theme, new categories and fantastic prizes from Michaels and Canon!

The theme is "Circus Oz: See It To Believe It" and entrants are encouraged to be interpretative and creative in their approach. This year the competition will be open to secondary school students and amateur photographs. We are also excited to announce the addition of a short film category allowing budding filmmakers their chance to get in on the Big Top Snapshot action!

All winning and highly commended works will be part of an exhibition at Michaels in October 2010.
