The Melba Spiegeltent - ArtsHub; Circus Oz cuts Close to the Bone
21st October 2014
Instead of their usual Big Top antics, Melbourne’s Circus Oz has announced an intimate two-week season of a new work, Close to the Bone at The Melba Spiegeltent in Collingwood from 11-21 December.
Exploring concepts of space and proximity, Close to the Bone promises to explore questions of secrets, honesty and physicality in the intimate confines of the The Melba Spiegeltent, a 100-year old Belgian mirror tent that was recently installed in its permanent home at the Circus Oz headquarters in Collingwood.
Close to the Bone is directed by Circus Oz Associate Director Debra Batton in collaboration with Simon Yates and Jo Lancaster from the inventive company acrobat, and features music by Ania Reynolds and Ben Hendry.
